If I had baby pictures on my computer I would have used them but........ Since it is my first Born's 30 birthday today I was wondering what I could do to honor such an occasion besides a new ache or pain for me. So I dug out his baby blessing and thought I would see how his life compares to that blessing.

Here it goes - "That Damon would accomplish the plans and goals that he set for himself in the pre-existence" Well, that is a hard one to check off - did he set a goal to get his PhD? Shall we just figure he did? Why not -- check --- Next --"That he would have health and strength" Check --not counting the broken arm, tonsils, appendix, many ear infections as a baby, colds, flu, - oh he's healthy - Next --"Serve a mission and marry in the Temple" A big check ---Next --"Promised him he would grow up in a house where truth was taught" Well, I tried -- Check and Next --"Admonished him to read the scriptures and that he would understand them" Check and still working on that one - Next -"That he would be able to discern right from wrong, and steer clear from temptations and recognize that some things are better left unexperienced." Well a big Check - we won't talk about the little things during his teenage years. Those are for roasting moments not honoring ones.

So that was his babies blessing and I think Damon has done very well. I must say that on this, Damon's thirtieth birthday, I am well pleased. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAMON Mom loves you lots, tons, gobs
