More Family

The last night for Damon and his family was also the first night for my brothers and their families. I was able to gather all of my grandchildren and get this picture. It is very hard to get five children 6 and under to look at the camera all at once. I am happy.

So my brother Mike, his wife Carol and their two kids - Nichole and Matthew. We or they would do a few things that the rest of us didn't because - well - teenagers have more energy.

Triple play is close to the house and a great place to have some fun. Matthew always won on the go-carts. Nichole says she always got the slow car.

Dad took everyone but me (I was at church) on the cruise. It is a good way to see the lake.

We also went to Cabela's. This bear looks like he is smiling for the camera.

Georgey had a t-ball game and we all went to watch. He did great and hit the ball each time from a pitch.

We went to Tubbs hill for a hike. I forget the name of this moose but this is Tom with Nichole and Matt.

We where suppose to hike Tubbs Hill but we never made it. George took us to a swimming hole and showed Nichole this rock. She was brave enough to jump off. Matthew never did jump - this evened things out with the go-carts.

We are the only ones who picnic next to a dumpster. This is the crew that waited for the hiker/swimmers. The weather had cooled off and was only about 74 degrees with a wind. That is why Nichole is all bundled up.

then we went to Silverwood. Even though it was still in the 70 degree range - we still had allot of fun. Here is Carol.

This is George - I said no to this slide. I am chicken and proud of it.

Grayam decided that he liked his fries in his water bottle. Yum!!! He even drank it.

Georgey would swim then wrap up in towels and warm up then swim.

Last night is the night for group shots. It was nice of Scott to take this for us. Matt was at work - not a bad shot of all of us. We had a good time. Missed all of you who couldn't make it.

Family and Fun

Having visitors is great - even better when it is family. Mandy and George have been up from Pullman for the summer and now Damon and Nikki have come to visit for two weeks. It has just been great being with "my kids". The best thing to do now is just share some photo's. The above picture is at Georgey's t-ball game and what else are you suppose to do while you wait your turn? Climbing the fence seems like a great choice.
Sadie got to stay up a little later this night as she and Papa Matt put every puzzle we have together.

Mandy and Grants Birthdays

Oh - how the memories always flow on July 20Th. I won't bore you with all of them but I will post a few pictures of the beach party that celebrated Mandy's birthday. Here is Mandy - one good looking 28 year old. What did I do to get an underline going? I have no Idea. Brothers splashing each other with buckets of water.One cold Georgey!! One cute Grayam.
Getting older means blowing out more candles. (Hay - it's back to normal - what did I do?) But she did it. A costco cake too - yum!! :) Was a nice time at the beach.

Now I wasn't around for Grants birthday but I did text, call and facebook him. Today we found out Liz and Grant are having a girl - :) - so that is a pretty nice birthday present.
This picture was taken in Provo when they told us they where expecting. (This underlining thing and color thing is going to drive me crazy)

So happy birthday to Mandy and Grant - and I'm glad I'm back to normal - if I ever was!! (I wrote it before you could say it :) )

I am about to be young again!!

Well, if you know me and my husband - you know that I am six months older then him. And his birthday is this Tuesday - July 14 - so this week-end we celebrated. We never know if Matt will be home during the week. We went back up into the mountains and took a hike. This is what we saw. Matt tried to take the jeep up this but ran into a small snow berm - so we walked up. A steep climb but only a 45 minute walk.
When we got to the top this is what we saw.

This is the look down. Worth the walk. On the way up I took a few pictures of flowers.
What are these? They do look pretty all spread out on the hill side.

This butterfly let me take it's picture. Very nice of it.

Well that was our Saturday. Sunday we ate too much angle food cake with fresh raspberries and whipped cream. So if Matt is home on Tuesday all he gets is a Happy Birthday!! And I don't get called old lady for another 6 months.

Who's on first?

So here is Georgey on first base after his first hit in his first game of this season. I LOVE T-BALL. In this league the coaches pitch three balls to the kids before they get to hit it off the T. Georgey on his first time up at bat never got to hit it off the T because he hit the ball. And a great hit I might add.

Mandy and George are the coaches of the team. Here is Mandy trying not to freeze out in the field with Georgey. It is a beautiful night - 70 degrees with a breeze. Guess I was the only one loving the weather - others said they where cold.
On my Grayam shift - I took him to the play ground. He loved the slide. "Gams turn" He would say and then hang there for a few seconds and then down he would go. I am slowly learning how to speak "Grayameze" We had fun!!

It was a really fun time. So for the next few weeks every Tuesday and Thursday I have a game to go to. How fun is that?!!!!

The 4 th

A chance to really relax. I mean really relax - stay in your pj's till 2 pm - relax. What a great fourth of July. Then a little shopping for food because we didn't have any - food - that is. A small BBQ with Mom and Dad. Hamburgers and Hot Dogs - of course. Then off to the beach for the fire works. This year I didn't have to leave early and reserve a large portion of the sand for five families - so Matt and I left the house around 8:30. Found out that they close the road when you leave the house later. We had to go the long way to get to our normal parking spot. At almost 9 I got a text from Mandy , asking where we where. She then told me where she was and wow - everyone was there. All five families - Cindy - Mo - Rach - Liz - Brooke - great!!! The show was great and I even liked being ambushed by Georgey and Gray - it was great !!

I almost didn't recognize Georgey without his curls.

I got a smile from Matt. He loves the fire works as much as I. The rest are pictures of the fireworks. Some from my camera - some from Matt's. This years pictures are .......OK not as good. But some might have an artistic feel.......:)
